Follow These Tips for Food that Tastes Better

1) Taste and season as you go: You can always add more, but you can’t take salt out.

2) Re-season chilled foods: Refrigeration can dull flavors so taste and season as needed.

3) Add herbs at the right time:

Dried herbs should be added earlier to activate and release flavor.
Add hearty fresh herbs earlier (thyme, rosemary, oregano, sage).
Delicate fresh herbs go in at the end (parsley, cilantro, chives, basil).
4) Add a Finishing Touch: When it makes sense, liven up a finished dish with:

Press fresh garlic into soups and salads
Fresh herbs for pasta, sauces and soups
Citrus zest or fresh lemon juice for fish, chicken or veggies
