Ingredients
3 apples
500g of plain yogurt
100 g of sugar
4 eggs
1 sachet of vanilla sugar
1/2 cup of cornstarch
200 ml of milk
Instructions
Peel and cut the apples into small pieces. In a bowl, mix the yogurt, sugar, vanilla sugar and eggs until you obtain a smooth consistency.
Add the cornstarch and milk, then mix well. Incorporate the apple pieces into the mixture. Pour the mixture into a greased mold. Place your mold in a larger dish filled with hot water (a bain-marie). This will help the flan cook slowly and evenly. Preheat the oven to 180°C and bake the flan for approximately 40-60 minutes. Check for doneness by inserting a knife into the center; it should come out clean.
Allow to cool before unmolding and serving. When it cools down to room temperature, refrigerate for at least 2 hrs. Serve chilled.
Notes
You can add a little cinnamon for extra flavor.
Serve with a caramel sauce for an even more indulgent dessert.
